ABOUT US

Select Referral Associates

Our licensed brokerage was founded in 2001 with a twofold mission:

First, we aim to be a flexible option for licensed real estate agents who want to keep their license active but aren’t pursuing real estate as a full-time career. We provide a way for agents to legally earn referral fees without needing to hang their license with a traditional brokerage.

Secondly, we strive to deliver excellent service to the clients referred to us by our license affiliates.

We created the Policy and Procedures Guidebook to help our licensees maximize the potential of affiliating with our brokerage. We look forward to furthering our mission and mutually beneficial partnerships for years to come.

As a licensed real estate brokerage, we serve as your broker while taking a unique approach - we do not directly represent buyers and sellers ourselves. Instead, we connect all clients with experienced, full-time real estate agents who are committed to meeting their needs.

Relocation Services

Though we are an affiliated brokerage with Select Group, our members have the flexibility to select which agent and agency they want their referrals placed with. If a preference isn't indicated, we utilize our extensive resources to match each referral with a qualified agent at a firm that fits the customer's needs and goals.

We take this approach for a few key reasons. Handling the many intricacies of real estate transactions requires an agent’s full attention and dedication. The benefit to our members is they do not have to pay dues or fees to Realtor organizations. We provide brokerage coverage and facilitation to earn referral fees, while letting experienced agents handle the clients. This allows our members to maintain their license while referring leads when convenient without the expense of running a full-time real estate business.

As a referring agent, your sole responsibility is to refer leads to Select Referral Assistances in exchange for a portion of the real estate commission paid in the transaction.

What is a Referral Agent?

A Referral Agent is a real estate licensee who is not actively working full-time in real estate. They may hold either a broker’s or salesperson’s license, depending on state regulations.

The primary role of a referral agent is to forward leads to Select Referral Associates through our website’ CLICK HERE to place a referral. These buyer and seller leads are then placed with fully engaged real estate brokerages that have the expertise and resources to provide excellent service.

Referral agents do not list properties, represent buyers/ sellers directly, or market themselves as active industry professionals. Based on our Independent Contractor Agreement, referral agents collect information on potential leads and submit them to Select Referral Associates to be serviced. Referral agents are responsible for assisting in client engagement throughout the transaction. For example, a client no longer communicates with the assigned agent. It is the referring agent’s job to assist in reengaging the client to find out if they are still interested in buying or selling.

What is a Referral and where do I find them?

A referral is simply a prospective buyer or seller that you place through our system. Referral sources can include, but are not limited to:

  • Past clients, if you have prior real estate experience
  • Your own real estate transactions-make sure to refer yourself!
  • Family, friends, neighbors, and other personal acquaintances
  • Work colleagues and business associates
  • Groups like churches, clubs, schools, sports teams, etc.

Importantly, referrals can be anywhere nationwide. Our agents aren’t limited to their own state. If you know someone moving from Florida to New York for example, we can facilitate by placing a referral with a Florida brokerage to list their home and a New York Brokerage to purchase. After each closing, you earn a referral fee.

Most referrals are residential buyers and sellers, but some commercial real estate may also qualify. Vacant land, undeveloped lots, and timeshares typically don’t qualify- check with us if you are unsure.

What is needed for a Referral?

When submitting a referral, please provide as much information as possible, including, at minimum:

  • Full name of referrals (with correct spelling)
  • Address
  • Preferred phone number
  • Preferred agent or brokerage, if you have one.
  • Type of referral- buying, selling, or both
  • Permission to be contacted by an agent.
  • Are they pre-approved?
  • Permission to be contacted by a loan officer
  • Any other helpful details (desired home type, price range, city, state, etc.)

* If you, the referring agent, would like to speak to the assigned agent or loan officer before they contact your client, please make a note of it.

Additional information allows the broker to establish better rapport, but most importantly, please make sure the referral is qualified and expecting our call. We want to connect with motivated buyers and sellers. Referrals must have an interest in speaking with an agent.
